Watershed and Aquifer Planning

Yorkton Area Aquifers

Residents of Yorkton and the surrounding area, through their participation on a Watershed Advisory Committee and with technical assistance and support from the federal and provincial governments and private sector partners, have completed the Yorkton Area Aquifers Source Water Protection Plan.

This Source Water Protection Plan contains key actions, recommendations and objectives that will help protect source water within the aquifers in and around Yorkton. The plan has been reviewed by the public as well as the organizations and agencies identified within the key actions, and work is now underway to implement them.
